PlayStation VR2 could launch early 2023, says analyst

Sony’s future PlayStation VR2 may perhaps start in early 2023, according to a tech market analyst.

Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF Worldwide Securities, mentioned that he thinks that Sony will commence mass manufacturing on the headset later this year.

Kuo tweeted (via VGC) about the following-gen virtual reality hardware, saying:

“My most current provide chain look at indicates that the assembler and a number of component suppliers of PS VR2 will get started mass output with about 1.5M models shipments in [the second half of] 2022. Sony may launch it in Q1 23, depending on the enhancement agenda of PS VR2 recreation titles.”
