League Of Legends, Valorant, And More Riot Games Heading to Xbox Game Pass This Winter
[ad_1]
Xbox Game Pass is about to get more robust for fans of PC and mobile multiplayer titles. League of Legends and Valorant developer Riot Games announced that five of its PC and mobile games are coming to Game Pass this year, including League, Valorant, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics, and League of Legends: Wild Rift.
Riot Games president Marc Merrill appeared at Microsoft’s Xbox/Bethesdas Showcase 2022 to make the announcement, which included a few details about what Game Pass subscribers can expect to get with the titles. Check out the announcement trailer below.
In addition to getting access to Riot’s PC and mobile games, Game Pass subscribers also get some in-game benefits for playing through Microsoft’s platform. All champions are unlocked in League of Legends for PC and League of Legends: Wild Rift for mobile, while all agent characters are unlocked for Valorant on PC. Legends of Runeterra players get access to the Foundations card set for the game on PC and mobile, and Teamfight Tactics players on PC and mobile get a select group of Little Legends characters.
That’s a lot of stuff to get access to as part of the subscription, making Game Pass a good way for players who might have been interested in some of Riot’s games to jump in and see how they play without having to make a big additional investment. It also highlights something that gets sometimes gets glossed over about Game Pass–its connectivity with mobile gaming. Game Pass can stream a host of games to mobile devices, and with Microsoft bringing Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, and Teamfight Tactics to the service, it suggests Xbox putting a bigger highlight on that aspect of the service.
