I identified acquiring through Guardians of the Galaxy a little bit of a slog when I reviewed it for Eurogamer, but its “considerate” storyline kept me glued proper right up until the finish.
“There is a ton below that Eidos can be very pleased of, but people matters are tough to locate among an oversaturation of gameplay methods and mechanics, and uninspired fight,” I wrote at the time (and nevertheless stand by, by the way).
“As significantly as I liked the game’s spectacular established-items and considerate storyline – not to point out the prerequisite publish-credits (and post-post-credits) scenes – unlocking the entire enhance of your pals’ sparring skillsets and receiving to the end of Guardians of the Galaxy feels like an unmitigated slog when you’re fighting an infinite sea of tanky, bullet-spongey Centurions.”
