Former UConn women’s basketball guard Bria Hartley to miss remainder of WNBA season with ACL injury

Former UConn women’s basketball guard Bria Hartley will overlook the remainder of the WNBA year immediately after struggling an ACL personal injury in her remaining knee on Sunday, the Connecticut Sun announced Wednesday afternoon.

Hartley went down with two and a 50 % minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter of the Sun’s sport at Minnesota. Hartley was chasing a free ball close to the sideline and her left leg twisted and pressured her to fall to the ground soon after she extended her arm to defend the ball from going out of bounds.

“It’s terrible,” Solar guard Courtney Williams explained. “She labored so tricky to get back again, suitable. Just her tale and her course of action and to get right here. She will be readily available on Thursday when the Sunlight host the Storm at 7 p.m.


Hartley signed a relaxation-of-year contract with the Sunshine on July 18. She performed in a few video games for Connecticut, averaging 4.6 factors, 1.3 assists, 1 steal and .6 rebounds in 12.3 minutes coming off the bench.
